National Institute of Technology (NIT, Tiruchirappalli) Review

Being one of the top 10 NIT universities, NIT Trichy has been reviewed by students around the globe under many different aspects, few of them are:

1. Admission: One of the main reasons for students not applying for NIT’s is a complicated admission process, long procedures, and more reasons, however, the admission process here is like any alternate university or an entrance exam. Once you submit your form for admission, on selection, the institute calls the student itself to guide them for the process further.
2. Placement: With the maximum placement package of INR 42 LPA, NIT Trichy has made a different spot within the minds of the candidates who are looking for institutions to study technology further. Many companies visit the institution for hiring, from semester 6 (four-year program), the students are eligible for applying for internships and jobs.
3. Academics: The focus of the institution is for students to explore the knowledge the subjects have to offer not only theoretically, but practically as well. It helps with global exposure to technology and the related field of study, making it easier for the students to understand the concepts in depth
4. Infrastructure: The campus is spread across an area of more than 800 acres. Well-furnished buildings, maintenance at the hostels, up to date with the technology, good quality food, and one of the largest libraries in South India.
5. Accommodation: The hostels are well maintained. The food cooked is hygienic and good in taste, with different places to eat for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. An indoor stadium is available for students. Almost all hostels have their own volleyball court and a few are also equipped with a basketball court.
6. Faculty: The professors allotted within any of the courses are either Ph.D. holders or Ph.D. researchers working as an associate or assistant professors, which helps not only with a deep theoretical knowledge, but an experiential exposure from the professors.
